My topic is health and education.
My focus is on teaching children about health.
My media is a 3D model in real life and a brochure for my media componet.

Changes to Capstone project

My topic is staying the same and I am still doing my origional plan. Although I may change my technological componet. I think I may want to do a pamphlet since I am already building the model in real life. I am not sure though if I have enough time I could do a website, but the model itself is time consuming. So, I think I will go with the pamphlet and edit pictures for the building on photoshop.

Statement of Intent

For my capstone end product I will be building a model architectural structure of an interactive learning center designed for primary school aged children to learn about the structure and function of the organs and organ systems in the human body. They will also have the opportunity to learn about major preventable diseases and how exactly to prevent them along with basic health tips and a preview of health occupations through hands on experience. I will also have a technological component but, I have yet to pick one yet that works best with my model.
I haven’t come to a conclusion on what my topic issue is. I am trying to address dropout rates and child health, as well as health care professional shortages. By creating a place that uses multiple ways of learning I am trying to show children that learning can be fun as well as possibly motivate them to go into the healthcare field. Also, while they are learning they are gaining information about their bodies and how to take care of them as well as different diseases they can get and how to prevent them.
